Person struck, killed by NJ Transit train

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. (AP) — A person has been struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train in Mercer County.

Authorities say the accident happened late Saturday in West Windsor, near the Princeton Junction station. But further details about the incident have not been disclosed.

None of the roughly 500 passengers and crew members aboard the Northeast Corridor line train was injured in the accident. The train had departed from New York's Penn Station and was headed to Trenton when the person was struck.

The name of the person killed has not been released.

Amtrak police are leading the investigation.
