1 shot, 1 stabbed in separate overnight killings

NEW YORK (AP) — Authorities say one man was fatally shot and another stabbed in separate overnight deaths. A second stabbed man was in critical condition.

Police responding to a call found the two stabbed men in front of a building on East 151st Street in the Bronx around 11:15 p.m. Saturday. A 26-year-old man, identified as Roberto Rodriguez, was stabbed in the chest and pronounced dead at the hospital. A 30-year-old man had been stabbed in the stomach.

In another incident in Brooklyn, police found a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his chest around 2:30 a.m. at Williams Place and Atlantic Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Authorities identified him as Ramel King.
