2 injured after box truck careens into storefront

NEW YORK (AP) - Police in New York City say two people have been injured after a box truck drove into a store.

Authorities say the crash happened in Brooklyn around 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Police say a box struck a parked vehicle before accelerating and crashing into a storefront.

The driver of the truck and a person in the vehicle that was struck were taken to Kings County Hospital. Police say no one in the store at the time was injured.

Surveillance video shows the truck nearly hit multiple people who were walking near the store at the time of the crash.

Witnesses say the driver of the truck was unresponsive and began shaking after the crash.

Police are continuing to investigate.
