1 dead in early morning blaze in Queens

NEW YORK (AP) — Police say a man has died after an early morning fire in Queens.

Authorities responded to 25-07 87th Street around 4:30 a.m. Sunday. After the fire was put out, emergency responders found the body of the 88-year-old man on the first floor. He was unresponsive and had severe burns. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No identity has been released pending notification of family.
