Last minute holiday shopping

From the world’s largest menorah to the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, New York City is in the holiday spirit.

People got ready to celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah. The same overlap hasn't happened in nearly four decades.

When Hanukkah and Christmas Eve fall on the same night, last minute shopping isn't easy!

“It's a madhouse you can't walk anywhere,” said one shopper.

The stores were packed with people picking out presents.

However, not everyone waited until the last minute.

“I bought my daughter a digital camera, and she's testing it out. A Black Friday special!” said one tourist.

There was plenty of window shopping and selfie stopping.

It was standing-room-only inside St. Patrick's Cathedral for Children's Mass. Many kids visited for the first time

“It's a really great experience to see how other people celebrate Christmas,” said one visitor.

Midnight mass coming soon, ushers will be letting some lucky people inside in place of no show ticket holder. If you're not one of those people, for the first time there's a new glass door at the back of the cathedral for the crowds to peak in!
