NEW JERSEY (FOX 5 NY) - A house exploded in the Sussex County town of Hardyston, New Jersey at about 11 p.m. Tuesday.
There were no reported injuries. Authorities do not believe anyone was home at the time.
A photo posted to Twitter of the aftermath shows the home at 33 Grumm Road was completely leveled.
Wallkill Valley Regional High School located across the street from the explosion site was closed Wednesday.
It is unclear what sparked the explosion.
The town's volunteer fire department posted a message on Facebook saying all responding firefighters had been cleared by 2 a.m.
"House is a total loss. The neighboring house has window damage. Wallkill HS has some structural damage and will be closed 11/28. Grumm Road will also be closed indefinitely."
Hardyston is located 55 miles outside of Manhattan.
