Lap of Luxury: Junior Cars

Looking for something for the little guy in your life this holiday? Group Harrington Junior Cars are just the thing.

Tom Papadopoulos of Autosport Designs on Long Island says they sell the junior cars for the little man who wants his own collection to drive beside dad.

This junior-sized Shelby Cobra has an independent wishbone suspension upfront and in back, adjustable gas shock absorbers on all four wheels, vented disk brakes with Brembo calipers front and rear, and a working horn.
The 125cc four-stroke engine can really cruise.
Papadapoulos says these 3-speed shifter karts can go 60mph, but they can also be limited for safety and are totally docile.
The pedals can even be adjusted so there's room to take a ride with dad too.

Not into racing stripes?
They've got a Shelby without them.
Looking for something a little different? There's also a mint green Aston Martin.
It looks just like the original, but with a much smaller price tag--about $19,000.
Papadopoulos says it's one of those things that's truly bespoke for a kid with means.

At Autosport Designs in Huntington Station on Long Island, there are toys for kids with means, of all ages.
They're in the business of restoring and selling vintage, classic, and exotic cars.
Papadopoulos says they've been lucky enough to have some of the most rare and collectible automobiles the world has to offer.
They've got a Ferrari that, at one point, burned in the Detroit riots and has since been rebuilt.
It's one of four 250GT lightweights that were originally made.
Two still exist, Papadopoulos has one of them. The sister car sold for $8.2 million.

Not into cars? They have limited edition motorcycles too.
Lotus built and pre-sold 100 bespoke motorcycles. Papadopoulos says he was lucky enough to import three of them.
Price tag? $140,000.

If you're really looking for something classic for the whole family and you have more than a half a million dollars to spare, Autosport designs has just the thing: a 1934 Aston Martin that the kids love to call Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

But if the kids want to get behind the wheel themselves, the Junior Harrington car is hard to beat.
