Kathy Griffin: "I'm going to make fun of him more"

Comedian Kathy Griffin and her attorney Lisa Bloom addressed the media Friday following the backlash from a photo she posted of herself holding a fake severed head of President Donald Trump.

Griffin, 56, told reporters at Bloom's office in California that she will not refrain from joking about Trump in the future.

"I didn't do it for any money. Just give them something to talk about it," said Griffin. "You interpret it the way you want."

Griffin went on to say that she has received death threats and is under investigation by the Secret Service.

The d-list comedian was fired by CNN from her role as a co-host of the network's New Year's Eve program and at least five theaters have canceled her upcoming shows.

In a statement posted to Twitter, Bloom said Griffin would "explain the true motivation behind the image and respond to the bullying from the Trump family that she has endured."

In New Jersey where two of Griffin's shows were canceled, Gov. Chris Christie called the photo "disgusting" and "completely outrageous."
