Jailed man accused of 2013 murder on Long Island

Suffolk County cops arrested a man in connection with the 2013 death of a woman whose body was found in a nature preserve -- and he was already behind bars.

Police charged Fernando Romualdo, 28, with second-degree murder in the death of Sarah Strobel. Her body was found on the side of a path at Froehlich Farm Nature Preserve in Huntington, Long Island, on October 3, 2013.

Romualdo was incarcerated at Mohawk Correctional Facility in Rome, New York, on an unrelated charge when authorities arrested him, police said.

He was arraigned is being held without bail at the Suffolk County Correctional Facility in Riverhead.
