Hoverboard-riding priest suspended

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - A priest in the Philippines celebrated Mass on Christmas Eve in a rather unusual way. The priest sang a song during the service while riding a hoverboard. The move, however, has lead to the priest's suspension from the church he serves, reports Mashable.com.

“That was wrong,” said the Diocese of San Pablo, Laguna in a statement Tuesday. “The Eucharist demands utmost respect and reverence. It is the Memorial of the Lord’s Sacrifice. It is the source and summit of Christian life,” said the Diocese of San Pablo.

Video of the hoverboard-riding priest went viral last week. By Tuesday, the diocese had decided to suspend him indefinitely.
