Heavy rain to cause flooding

A storm front moving through the New York and New Jersey area on Friday and Saturday was expected to cause flooding.

A Flood Advisory was issued for the entire coastline of New Jersey. The area along the Interstate 95 corridor north of Interstate 78 had the highest risk of flash flooding.

Rivers and streams across the Garden State are at risk of flooding.

Many areas are expected to receive as much as three inches of rain.

High winds on Friday could lead to even higher rain totals.

The last of the showers is expected at about 7 a.m. on Saturday.

An Areal Flood Advisory for New York City expired at 1:15 p.m. Friday.
