Freshly made health food for dogs

Lunch hour is busy at a Greenwich Village spot, which prides itself on all-natural health food. And a never-ending supply of free treats. The customers always leave happy. Malibu Dog Kitchen prepares fresh food for dogs instead of typical, commercial food.

Co-owner Ashley Brooks was willing to prove the dog food is good enough for humans to eat. She munched on one of the company's best-selling "Fishies," otherwise known as sundried sardines.

Malibu Dog Kitchen is one of the latest high-end, human-grade dog food companies to hit the New York market and is the only one with its own local storefront.

Popular menu items include grain-free chicken, Pupsicles and seasonal specials.

The company also has its own delivery app designed by a co-founder of Uber.

But while it's very easy to order, it's not cheap. Prices start at $4.50 for an 8-ounce serving and can add up to about $100 a month for a small dog.

Shih-Tzu mix Kush favors the Fish Delish entree. Dog owners like Egon Kirincic say it beats paying for vet bills. He claims his Frenchie Clyde's health improved dramatically after he switched food.
