Penguin massacre at Australia zoo

A fox killed 14 penguins in a zoo in Australia.

Wild Sea Keepers at the Melbourne Zoo were devastated this morning to arrive at the zoo to find the dead penguins in the exhibit.

15 penguins survived were checked over by zoo veterinarians and were moved to a secure area until the fox is captured.

Keepers had suspeced a fox had entered the zoo and traps and cameras had been unsuccessful in locating it.

The zoo includes large areas of dense vegetation that makes it easy for the fox to hide.

While foxes rarely enter the zoo, according to officials, extra efforts are being made to fox-proof gates.

The Zoo is working with a fox control expert to try to capture the fox.
