Fire destroys historic NJ church

A fire destroyed the St. Mark's Episcopal Church in West Orange, NJ. (FOX 5 NY)

A fire ripped through the historic St. Mark's Episcopal Church in West Orange, New Jersey on New Year's Eve. 

The flames broke out at the church which currently houses the Primera Iglesia Evangelica Metodista Libra de los Oranges, a Methodist congregation, at about 11:30 p.m. 

It is not clear what sparked the three-alarm blaze on Main Street.

There were no reports of injures.

St. Mark's is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
