Fight on plane at JFK ends in arrests

A fight on a plane that had just landed in New York ended with several people injured and two women arrested for attacking each other with weapons, officials said.

It happened around 9 a.m. Wednesday morning on JetBlue flight 960 from Kingston, Jamaica, to JFK Airport. A 61-year-old woman apparently got out of a window seat before the plane got to the gate and tried to climb over another woman. The woman used a razor to slash a 52-year-old woman and a man who got involved, a Port Authority official said.

The younger woman used pepper spray on the woman with the razor.

Several passengers were treated for minor injuries, including difficulty breathing.

Police arrested both women, the AP reported. The 61-year-old woman faces assault and weapons charges. The 51-year-old woman was charged with possessing pepper spray.

Cops searched the plane at the gate after the incident.
