Explore destinations at New York Times Travel Show

- It's a new year and if you're looking for a new travel destination, then head over to the Javits Center this weekend for the New York Times Travel Show. Lauren Funke from the New York Times says that are over 500 exhibitor booths from across the globe.

This is the place where you can speak one-on-one with experts from countries all over the world and get exclusive travel discounts. Everything from adventure to beach travel is an option here. There are several travel hot spots for 2016: Mexico, USVI, Malta, Spain, and more.

Get a taste of different cultures by sampling some of the local cuisine. There are musical performances to enjoy, and opportunities to mingle with citizens from each country.

The newest addition to the Travel Show this year is the Wellness Travel Pavilion. Here is where you can explore travel destinations to enhance your mind, body, and soul.

In the relaxation and spa zone, you can take an energizing power nap, have a hand massage, and learn how color therapy can restore your health.

So, if you're looking for a change of scenery in 2016, perhaps it is better in the Bahamas.
