Endangered sloth tries to creep into Peruvian store

Do you know that the three-toed sloth is the slowest mammal in the world?

But in the town of Pucallpa, Peru, this slow as molasses creature, surprised a shop owner, who was about to open his store for the day.

The sloth was trying to creep into the shop, but the entrance was closed.

Curious onlookers were quite amused, and took pictures and videos.

The store owner called the Peru Institute of Natural Resources, which sent someone to pick the animal up, and bring it back to a park, where it was living.

The sloth is an endangered animal, so wildlife officials say this was an important find, and it's necessary to protect the animal.
