Suspect arrested in wheelchair robbery

The NYPD is asking for the public's help tracking down Adrianne Terry, 37, the suspect in the robbery of an elderly woman in a wheelchair in the Bronx.

The NYPD said cops arrested Adrianne Terry, 37, the suspect in the robbery of an elderly woman in a wheelchair in the Bronx. Authorities charged her with grand larceny.

The 85-year-old woman was robbed of her pocketbook in broad daylight near East 179th Street and Marmion Avenue in the West Farms neighborhood.

According to police, Terry grabbed the elderly woman's purse which contained cash and a bank card and ran.

The woman was not injured during the robbery occurred at about 2:15 p.m. on Sunday, September 11.

In a similar incident, a 94-year-old woman was robbed of $600 cash while she sat in her wheelchair in a grocery store in the East Harlem.
