A man driving a livery car was in critical condition after being shot in the head in Astoria, Queens.

The driver, who reportedly did not have a livery license, picked up two passengers from Club Purlieu on 37th Avenue at about 4:50 a.m. Friday when he was shot while driving away, said police.

The gunman opened fire on the vehicle, striking the driver who was not the intended target.

The gunman and the passengers fled the scene.

The victim was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital.

The passengers had reportedly been involved in a fight at the club before the shooting.
