DA warns about 'upskirting'

As the weather warms up and we all wear a little bit less, the district attorney is warning women to be on the lookout for creeps with cameras.

Warnings from the Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance Jr. posted on Twitter and Facebook urge victims of what's called "upskirting" to call authorities. They even map out areas where it happens the most: at subway stations like Grand Central, Union Square, Times Square and 59th Street on platforms, benches, and staircases.

It is difficult to spot, yes. Of course, most of these photographers are secretive about their snapshots. This month alone, police busted five upskirting camera men -- one of them at Union Square when he reportedly set his backpack between a woman's legs.

The DA hopes that the more women are aware of the problem the less of a problem it will be.
