Construction worker crushed to death in Central Park

A construction worker who was reportedly checking on his van inside Central Park was killed when it rolled over him.

The man, who was wearing an MSM Empire Construction Co. shirt, was crushed to death on East Drive near The Loeb Boathouse just before 7 a.m., reported the NY Daily News.

The NYPD said the 56-year-old man was found pinned underneath the front driver-side tire. Medics who responded pronounced him dead at the scene.

The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.
