City Hall tours resume

Free public tours of City Hall in New York have been almost nonexistent since last march due to staffing constraints. But now they're back in business thanks to new funding from the deputy mayor's office. To kick off the first day back, Lower East Side middle school students got a tour and the first peek at a unique art exhibit inside the building.

Pictures throughout city hall show everyday workers from 30 city agencies, like the Sanitation Department, the DOT, and ACS.

Since City Hall is a landmarked space, the pictures can't stay up indefinitely, but they will be here for another year. So if you want to see them you can schedule a tour by going to nyc.gov.
