Building a PR agency from the ground up

It's not easy to start a business with little more than good networking skills and the right attitude. But Dariana Colon-Bibb has pulled it off. As founder and chief strategist of the public relations firm The Rebelle Agency, she has created a business that's thriving.

But getting started wasn't easy. She knew that without an extensive resume, she'd have to convince a lot of people she could help their company grow.

This Harlem native and Spellman College graduate snagged some pretty impressive clients right out the gate. Only 6 months in, she produced an event with NDG Fit and Bethenny Frankel.

Since then she has put together a pre-Grammy event and a celebrity basketball game with young talents like Empire's Bryshere Gray.

She loves fashion so working with fledgling designer Kellia Rogers was a high. America's Next Top Model contestant Bre Scullark was a client, so was Detroit's hip lip company the Lip Bar.

Dariana says that she may be best at pushing people right out of their comfort zone. She also says she used to think her ultimate dream client was Beyoncé but because she really loves helping new talent her real ultimate client is really the next Queen B.

There are many keys to Dariana's success but the biggest is her belief in herself.
