Kelley Dixon, 74, just signed up for a dating service that is offered at the Hebrew Home nursing home in the Bronx where he lives. Dixon lost his wife about 15 years ago. Like many older Americans, he is looking for companionship and intimacy in the nursing homes.

The Hebrew Home allows residents to have sexual relationships and spend the night in one another's rooms. The home believes that growing older can mean we lose our vision or hearing but it doesn't mean we have to lose intimacy.

Hebrew Home has about 850 residents. In addition to a dating program, the staff has organized a senior prom and happy hours to help residents who are looking for a relationship.

Beverly Herzog is one of the residents who has been on a date in the nursing home. She is 88 and lost her husband 22 years ago. Beverly hasn't found a love connection, but at 88 she says it's a normal part of life no matter what your age.
