Body found in Brentwood identified as missing teen

The second human body found near railroad tracks in Brentwood, Long Island, has been identified a teen who vanished in February, police said.

Authorities found the remains of Miguel Garcia-Moran, 15, of Brentwood, in the woods west of Emjay Boulevard and north of the Long Island Rail Road tracks on September 21, 2016.

He was found near the body of Oscar Acosta, 19, who went missing in May. Police believe Acosta was the victim of gang violence.

The Suffolk County medical examiner will perform an autopsy on Garcia-Moran.

Police have been searching secluded areas of Brentwood after two teenaged girls were found beaten to death last week. Police and the FBI said they believe the MS-13 gang may be responsible.
