Blue Angels ready to celebrate 70 years

The U.S. Navy's famed Blue Angels took to the skies over their Florida home Tuesday to celebrate their 70th birthday.

The team, which was started back in 1946, spent the past three months on the west coast training for a new season.  They returned to Pensacola yesterday, where the crew performed air shows in honor of their anniversary.

Now, the team says it's ready to soar once again.

"We're normal people doing extraordinary things," offered Blue Angel pilot Lt. Matt Suyderhoud.  "I think it shows, to the young kids on the crowd line -- whatever your dream is, work hard, rely on the people around you, and you can get it done."

The team will be home in Pensacola this week before starting a run of 65 shows for the remainder of the year.
