Baby locked in hotel room safe

Police in Niagara Falls are looking for a Brooklyn family that allegedly locked their baby in a hotel room safe.
It happened on Tuesday at the Howard Johnson's on Victoria Ave. in Niagara Falls, Canada.
Hotel maintenance was alerted that a baby had been locked in a safe in the family's room.  A maintenance worker was able to get the baby from the safe.
The baby was alert and crying.
The parents, who were there at the time, immediately took the child and left the hotel prior to police being made aware of the incident.
There was no information on how the baby ended up locked in the safe.
Police want to locate the family to confirm the wellbeing of the baby.
The hotel room was registered to a person from Brooklyn, New York.  The license plate associated to the hotel guest s is New Jersey plate, B31EUB which is registered to a 2015 Grey Ford passenger van.
Police said that the car had not crossed the border into the United States yet.
