Another water main break in Hoboken

Water utility crews are on the scene of a water main break in Hoboken, the second in just over a week. This time, an eight-inch pipe has ruptured on Monroe St. between 1st St. and 2nd St.

It is not clear how long it will take to repair the break.

"Approximately 100 customers are affected and are without water service while repairs go on," Suez Water said in a statement.

On Sunday night, water service was fully restored after a valve broke last week cutting off the water supply and flooding parts of the city.

Hoboken was getting its water supply all week from Weehawken while repairs were being made.
