Amber Alert called off for Rochester teen

The Rochester City Police Department has called off a New York State Amber Alert related to the alleged the abduction of a teenager on Dec. 1, authorities.

New York State Police say that Joanna Coates, 14, has been found unharmed.

She had disappeared from LaSalle Street on Saturday "under circumstances that lead police to believe that they are in imminent danger of serious harm and or death," authorities said on Monday.

During the Amber Alert, police identified the suspect as Robert Gonzalez, 41.  Police say Coates and Robert Gonzalez were in the process of being returned to Rochester.  It was unclear where they were located.  Police thought they might be headed to New York City.
