2 Air France flights diverted

Two Air France flights headed from the U.S. to Paris Tuesday night were given the all-clear after being diverted because of anonymous threats.

Air France flight 65 from Los Angeles to Charles de Gaulle was diverted to Salt Lake City.

At about the same time flight 55 out of Dulles in Washington, D.C. was diverted to Halifax in Canada after searching the planes and luggage -- officials didn't find any evidence of a threat.

According to the flight tracking website FlightAware, the Airbus A-380 landed in Salt Lake City at 7:11 p.m. MST. FAA spokesman Allen Kenitzer said the plane landed without incident and passengers were bused to the terminal while airport authorities and the FBI investigated the plane.

Air France confirms both flights diverted Tuesday were 'subjects of anonymous threats'.  The airline requested the landings as a precautionary measure.
