NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - The hit FOX cooking competition series, MasterChef, is looking for the next king or queen of the kitchen.
Open casting calls for season eight are being held across the country for amateur cooks.
Producers for the show will be in New York City on Sat., Mar. 12.
Auditions are from 10 am-6 pm at the DoubleTree Suites Time Square, 1568 Broadway.
The MasterChef casting team is encouraging anyone interested in auditioning to register at www.masterchefcasting.com.
Here are some of the restrictions to keep in mind:
You must be 18 years or older on or before August 1, 2016.
You must also be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States.
You cannot currently work as a professional chef and you cannot have ever worked as a professional chef.
Your current main source of income cannot come from preparing and cooking fresh food in a professional environment (restaurants, hotels, food trucks, catering etc).
