9/11 memorial procession in Lower Manhattan

The NYPD Emerald Society Pipes and Drums band lead a procession through Lower Manhattan in honor of the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks.

The procession involving 16 other groups from across the country began at Noon in Zuccotti Park, made its way down Broadway and through Battery Park. It culminated with a memorial service at the North Cove Marina.

Street closures were in effect throughout the area.

Sunday will mark 15 years since terrorists attacked Lower Manhattan, Washington, D.C., and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
