INDIA - Some readers may find the following story and video disturbing.
She complained of earaches, and felt tickles--but it wasn't until live ants began crawling out of a 12-year-old India girl's ear, that her parents rushed her to see a doctor.
There's no explanation behind it, but in the days since, 10-15 ants have crawled out of the girl's ear per day.
According to The Times of India, the girl, Shreya Darji, 12, from Deesa town of Banskantha, India has been seen by multiple specialists. Each time, ants have crawled out, much to the girl's dismay.
Dr. Jawahar Talsania examined Darji's ear through a laparoscopic camera, and that footage has now surfaced online.
"The girl's case is very challenging for me, as I have never seen such a case, nor found it in medical history." Dr. Talsania told The Times of India. The big ants must be biting her, but there was no damage inside her ear."
What's more disturbing? Doctors can't seem to locate a 'queen ant' that might have laid eggs. This leads them to believe, somehow, the girl is acting as the 'queen host'.
Darji is being kept under observation by doctors, but according to local media, there is no reason behind the infestation, or foreseeable cure.
