8 Halloween faves and how to burn off their calories

Be honest. Knowing the calories in your candy isn't going to stop you from digging into those Halloween bags. Even though they're snack size, fun size or miniatures -- the calories pack a punch.

Here's a list of some common Halloween candies, how many calories they are and how to burn them off.

First on our list are these little sweet treats. You probably already burn these calories without realizing it -- chasing your kids around the house for six minutes burns 30 calories.

The Crunch with a punch. Bust out those yoga moves for 25 minutes to compensate.

Next on the list is regular M&M's and a Kit Kat bar. Some more leisurely walking can burn those calories off, but to speed things up a bit, consider carrying your toddler from house-to-house. That will burn six calories a minute, so about 11-12 minutes of that should burn off those calories.

The fun size peanut M&M's and Snickers bar clock in with the second most highest calories on our list. A little bit of leisurely walking will do the trick for this one, such as walking with the kids trick-or-treating for about a half hour.

The Reese's Peanut Butter Cup rings in at the top of the list for the candy packing the most calories. Our suggestion to burn off those calories will check one of the chores off your "to do" list, too -- cleaning up the house after that Halloween party. But not just any cleaning, we mean vigorous cleaning. Move that furniture and vaccum behind it. Carry those heavy laundry loads downstairs. About 25 minutes' worth should get the job done.
