FT. LAUDERDALE, FL- A medical emergency leads to panic after several bystanders are unable to reach operators by calling 911.

After an internal internal investigation by the Broward County Sheriff's office, the reason for the lack of an answer has been revealed.
The operator responsible was on a personal call, ordering a pizza for lunch. The call lasted for eight minutes according to investigators. The Sheriff's office says the call taker admitted her mistake and was issued a written reprimand.
