Five of the eight suspects in the brutal murder of a Bronx teen appeared in court Monday.

Antonio Santiago, Danel Fernandez, Jose Muniz, Joniki Martinez, and Manuel Rivera appeared before a judge Monday morning on charges including murder and manslaughter.

They along with three other young men are accused in the brutal stabbing of Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz, 15, outside a Bronx bodega on June 20.

The NYPD said the suspects are members of the Trinitarios gang and wrongly targeted Guzman-Feliz, who had no ties to any gang activity and was in the NYPD's Explorers program.

Junior's family was in court for the hearing. Extra court officers were also on hand to keep order.

The suspects that didn't appear in court were represented by their attorneys. The case now moves to the grand jury and all the defendants will be back in court on July 16.
