Massive fire kills 2 in Brooklyn

- A fire broke out early Monday morning in a row-house along Richardson St. in Brooklyn and quickly spread to a neighboring building. Two people were killed in the inferno, according to fire officials.

The flames erupted shortly after 1:30 a.m. and were brought under control at about 5 a.m.

It's not yet clear what sparked the blaze in the Williamsburg area. It took about 200 firefighters to get it under control.

Police say one victim was found on the second floor. There's no immediate information on where the second person was found, or on the victims' ages, genders or identities.

Fire officials say two firefighters sustained minor injuries, but didn't need to be hospitalized.
