Violent threats made against Kean University

Officials at Kean University in Union, New Jersey say violent threats posted anonymously to Twitter were made against the school's black community and campus at large during a rally to draw attention to racial unrest Tuesday night.
 

NJ.com identified the Twitter user as @keanuagainstblk

 

 
Campus police say they took immediate action to find the person responsible for the threatening tweets.
 
The Department of Homeland Security, state, county and local municipalities were notified, and there is heightened security on campus for the remainder of the week.
 
Kean University Police posted a message to the school community on Facebook Wednesday morning:
 

CAMPUS ALERT: Please be aware that threatening tweets against Kean University were made from an anonymous Twitter...

In recent weeks, the University of Missouri cin Columbia, Mo.,has seen several racially-charged demonstrations that have engulfed the school in controversy.
