NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Olympic freeskier Gus Kenworthy announced on Twitter Thursday that he is gay.

"I've known I was gay since I was five years old," said Kenworthy to ESPN. "Hiding everything away is so painful. You're constantly lying and you're constantly feeling like you're deceitful."
The silver medalist and five-time world champion was quickly inundated with shows of support.
