U.S. soccer star Alex Morgan has landed on the cover of the next "FIFA 16" video game.
For boys and girls of Hoboken's youth soccer league names of famous male players come as easy as stars from the US Women's World Cup championship team.
Riding a wave of success, Morgan will grace the cover of the new EA Sports "FIFA 16" soccer game right next to the legend Lionel Messi.
Morgan wrote to her 2 million Twitter followers: "I'm so honored to be featured on the cover of FIFA 16."
It is an honor that Laptop Magazine tech journalist Sherri Smith says could be a turning point for professional female athletes.
Morgan will make history by being on the cover. But the team will also be featured in the game, along with 11 other national teams from around the world.
Before the World Cup, I asked Abby Wambach about being in the game transcending traditional boundaries. She said "women's football is here to stay."
The video game will be here in September.
