3 people rescued from East River

NYPD Harbor Patrol rescued three people from the East River at East 10th St. on Wednesday morning.

It is not clear why the people were in the water but it appeared two of them were attempting to rescue another person.

SkyFoxHD was over the scene at about 7:45 a.m. when one person was loaded onto a stretcher at E. 34th St.

All three people were taken to Bellevue Hospital for observation.
