NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - An elderly Brooklyn woman who had been missing for more than a week has been found dead.
Mary-Joyce Bonsignore was last seen alive on Monday, July 17, 2017, at about 8:30 a.m. in front of her home on 19th Avenue in Bath Beach.
She was found unresponsive on the roof of 1853 Cropsey Avenue, just around the corner from her home, at about 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, police said.
Medics responded to the scene and pronounced her dead.
Bonsignore, 88, had dementia, according to reports.
Fellow parishioners from St. Finbar Catholic Church organized a large search party last weekend. Police officers and EMTs helped them search.
The city's medical examiner will try to determine how Bonsignore died.
