NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - Cosmopolitan magazine is taking heat for a tweet about weight loss and cancer.
On Monday, Cosmo shared a link to an article about a woman suffering from a rare form of cancer. The headline read: "‘How This Woman Lost 44 Pounds Without *ANY* Exercise.’
The click-bait-- a term referring to websites using attention grabbing headlines to get readers to click on the link-- has been called "vile" and "sad."

Cosmo has since removed the tweet but the article with the same headline remained on the website until it , too, was changed to "A Serious Health Scare Helped Me Love My Body More Than Ever."
According to the article, the woman is Simone Harbinson, 31, of Melbourne, Australia. "Her weight-loss journey was overshadowed by a waterfall of health scares."
