Christmas trees donated to Covenant House

- Trevor, 20, says he expected this Christmas to be a lonely one. Earlier this year his family suffered from severe financial debt, which led him to live in a homeless shelter. But on this day, a bright light shined inside him as he touched a live Christmas tree for the first time.

Siblings Dan and Morgan own Christmas Tree Brooklyn, a Park Slope-based company that sells holiday evergreens throughout the city. But to give back, they made a surprise donation to the residents of Covenant House in Midtown Manhattan.

Covenant House provides a safe haven for homeless teens and young adults, but the senior vice president of the center said a real Christmas tree just wasn't in the budget this year. So this delivery comes as an extra special surprise.
