SIERRA VISTA, Ariz.
An Arizona couple is giving away their restaurant to one lucky winner of an essay contest.
David Bain and his wife, Dawn, own the Outside Inn restaurant in Sierra Vista. They launched the contest to pay it forward and help someone start their own business.
“With the help of a close personal friend and a small cash infusion, 23 years ago we moved our family to Sierra Vista Arizona and opened our restaurant The Outside Inn,” the contest website reads. "Now it is our turn to repay that favor that was offered to us so many years ago."
Participants must write a 200-word essay about "Why I would like to operate my own restaurant” to be considered for the prize. Writers must be 18 years or older.
The winner of this contest will receive "a well established, fully running restaurant, the real estate, and all equipment and inventory."
The cost of the contest is $125 per entry. The Bains will select the top 100 submissions, and an independent three-person panel will select the winner.
