NEW JERSEY (FOX 5 NY) - A New Jersey Transit commuter train struck and killed a man in New York.
NJ Transit spokesman Jim Smith says it happened around 6 a.m. Tuesday soon after the train had left the Spring Valley Station headed for Hoboken.
Service had been suspended in both directions on the Pascack Valley Line. It was restored at about 8:30 a.m.
Residual delays are expected.

NJ Transit and private bus carriers are accepting NJ Transit tickets until Midnight.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is investigating.
