'The Killing Season' docuseries examines Gilgo Beach murders

- Six years ago the death of Shannan Gilbert led to the discovery of 10 sets of humans remains near Gilgo Beach, Long Island. Four were identified as sex workers. The cases are still unsolved today.

Filmmakers Rachel Mills and Josh Zeman spent four years putting together a docuseries called "The Killing Season." They conducted interviews and tracked down leads.

The question remains who is the serial killer and why hasn't he been caught? Josh thinks more than one killer may be at work. They believe the killers are linked.

Rachel and Josh interviewed serial killers, sex workers and even traveled across the country investigating other unsolved serial murders sex workers. They even spoke to Suffolk County police trying to get answers and took aim at why the FBI was being prevented from working with police to solve the killing.

"The Killing Season" begins airing November 12 on A&E.
