Anti-violence vigil in Brooklyn

- A vigil was held in Brooklyn Monday to remember all those who have fallen victim to violence in the last week. The organizers called for us to unite despite the race issues that seem to have divided the country.

It's hard not to just react. How to move this country forward; a country they believe much better than the one we've shown.  As the sun set they found refuge an anti-violence vigil at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn.

They were unified and hopeful. The looks and the conversation told me they were exhausted, but still wanting to effect change.

The people were joined by police officers, interfaith leaders, and community members speaking truth, wanting better, and keeping hope alive.
