NYPD strips gun, badge from cop in road-rage killing

- The NYPD has placed a cop who shot and killed a man while off duty on modified duty.

The department stripped Officer Wayne Isaacs his weapon and shield while authorities investigate the apparent road-rage incident on July 4 in which Delrawn Small was killed.

Isaacs was driving home from the 79th Precinct when he and Small got into it in East New York. The NYPD initially said Small repeatedly punched Isaacs through the window when the cop then fired.

But security camera video obtained by the New York Post shows Small approaching Isaacs' car and then staggering and collapsing in the street. Apparently Isaacs shot Small through the car window.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman's office will investigate the shooting.
