FOX5NY (WNYW-TV) - As Hamilton creator Lin Manuel Miranda prepares to leave his show next week, his star continues to rise! Miranda and J Lo both tweeted a preview of a song they’ve recorded together to benefit the victims of the horrific Orlando massacre and the family members of the victims. The song is appropriately called "Love Make The World Go Round".
Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato are also doing their part to pay their respects following the Orlando attack. At their concert in Orlando on Saturday night, the names of the Orlando victims were scrolled on a screen along with Christina Grimmie, the singer was murdered in Orlando the same weekend as the Pulse nightclub attack. The pair also invited employees from Pulse to see the concert as their guests and did a meet and greet with them.
Now, let’s shift gears to Paris where the biggest European designers are showing their elaborate Fall/Winter fashions as part of Paris Haute Couture week. This is the time when designers showcase the designs that take hours to craft and cost many thousands to wear.
One show that’s getting a lot of attention is Versace. Of course we saw famous faces on and off the runway including Bella Hadid who took the catwalk in this beautiful gown, and we saw a lot of what Versace is known for: vibrant colors and sexy silhouettes. Now, haute couture gowns are not mass produced, but they’re worn by celebrities throughout awards season and serve as inspiration for the more mainstream lines that are mass produced down the line. So these artistic shows are very important in determining fashion trends moving forward.
